ACIN Costa Brava is the recipient of six PERTE projects co-funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Plan
Glass cap recycling line
A pioneering circular economy project focused on the recovery and separation of glass caps and containers. The new line separates glass caps from the rest of the glass using optical sorting, recovering materials previously sent to landfill and closing the glass cycle in industry.
New line for the recovery of WEEE
The project "Implementation of a new line for the recovery of the different recoverable fractions contained in waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)" is a beneficiary of the grant call from the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) within the framework of the PRTR, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
The new processing line for electric motors and electronic equipment will allow:
- 1Obtaining fundamental raw materials from waste normally sent to landfill or incineration.
- 2Recovering recoverable WEEE fractions in an automated way, guaranteeing alloys free of impurities.
- 3Increasing the recovery rate to meet the objectives of the new environmental directives.
- 4Reducing the environmental impact by improving the management of electrical and electronic equipment waste.
Decarbonisation of the ACIN Costa Brava production plant
The project "Decarbonisation of the ACIN COSTA BRAVA production plant" is a beneficiary of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism call within the framework of the PRTR, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
The project consists of the implementation of a biomass energy generation line that replaces fossil energy sources with renewable energy, reducing the carbon footprint of the industrial process.

- ▸Improvement of the overall energy efficiency of the plant
Recovery of the textile fraction from end-of-life vehicles
Creation of a line for the recovery of the textile fraction from end-of-life vehicles. The project will recover fabrics, fibres and textile materials contained in vehicles at the end of their useful life, closing the cycle of these materials and reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.

Recovery of the plastic fraction from end-of-life vehicles
Creation of a line for the recovery of the plastic fraction from end-of-life vehicles. The line will separate and recover high-value plastic fractions from the shredder of end-of-life vehicles, contributing to the circular economy of plastic materials in the automotive industry.

Wind turbine processing and fiberglass separation
Processing line for wind turbine blades for the recovery and separation of fiberglass. The project develops cutting-edge technology to manage the growing volume of end-of-life wind turbine blades, recovering fiberglass as a high-value secondary raw material.
